NEXT SHOW:

Theme: “Breaking Away”

The theme of our next show ( on April 4th) is “Breaking Away.“ This theme is timely in that it will foreshadow the town-wide celebration of Lex250 that peaks on April 19. While there will be some direct connections to the “Breaking Away” that happened on the Green in 1775, most of our evening will focus on contemporary stories and songs rather than historical ones. And our stories will evoke a wide range of emotions, from heartbreaking, to poignant, to funny, to uplifting to provocative. The stories may focus on a wide range of breaking away: from breaking up with a partner, for better or worse, leaving one’s country, by choice or not, leaving a friend group, a religion, a company, a cult, political party, a whole way of life, an athlete breaking away from competitors, a streaker in an earlier life.

We are still looking for true, personal stories of about 4-7 minutes to complete the show. We have some wonderful people who can help you polish and tell your story. Deadline for story proposals is Jan 31.
